There has been an eerie silence on the blog for a while… I’ll try to explain that.
First of all, an uncertain number of girls went on an unplanned excursion with a handful of deranged bad guys, and the Nigerian government did fuck all about it.
Pardon my French; it’s a bit rusty.
Now, it was terrible seeing mothers cry over their missing girls, an agony trying to imagine how sleepless the nights of such mothers probably are, and unthinkable trying to picture just what said deranged fellows would get up to with those girls. Anyways, I chose to remain silent on that topic, as is usual with me whenever my country breaks my heart…
Then, as if all that wasn’t bad enough, dudes decided to take out roughly 200 people in the city I was born and raised in. By the sheer grace of God, no one I know was blown up into charred, barely recognizable bits of nothing, but still..
It hurt me really bad.
So then after that, I had to struggle to literally start smiling again, and put in the effort to begin listening to music once again… then, blam! Second bomb goes off…
I’m writing this to explain why my witty, barely serious posts did not get… posted, and why my latest piece of soft porn/ Mills & Boon Chapter 7 isn’t up for public viewing yet.
By the way, I did NOT enjoy the M&B reference, but what can I do? 😦
So, yeah. To all those who got the slightest bit depressed by the Jos bombings, you are not alone. Dia riz God, jare.
To those who lost loved ones, I cannot begin to imagine what you must be going through.
To those who took innocent, unsuspecting lives for absolutely no reason whatsoever, my French will never be good enough to address you.
To all Nigerians, well… we gotta pick ourselves up and consider options for a better life.
May the souls of all victims of Boko Haram attacks find eternal rest.
